Advanced Solution for Cellulite Reduction

Cellulite is one of the top concerns among medical aesthetic patients today, with 90% of women and over 10% of men concerned about stubborn, unsightly cellulite. It is believed that most women at some point in their lifetime will experience cellulite. Many aesthetic patients are eager to diminish its orange-peel like texture with treatment alternatives that do not involve surgery or drastic lifestyle changes.

Cellulite takes the form of lumps and dimples in the skin. Although the exact cause behind it is unknown, it is the result of interactions with the connective tissue and the layer of fat below it. Cellulite is more prevalent in female patients because fat cells and connective tissue in the dermatological layer are arranged vertically rather than the male counterpart’s “crisscross” structure. When fat cells protrude the skin, it creates the appearance of cellulite.

Genetic factors, hormones, and low blood circulation can all make fat deposits more visible, leading to a higher likelihood of someone developing cellulite. A scale was developed in 2009 categorizing three grades to reference the severity of the condition.

Treatment options for patients includes small laser probes, subcisions, and carboxytherapy, which requires some sort of incision into the skin. Non-invasive alternatives using radio frequency on the other hand are comfortable for patients and work to deliver energy under the skin to heat tissues. Venus Legacy™ is a device that incorporates such technology with Pulsed Electro Magnetic Fields to form a patented combination known as (MP) 2 . This fusion of the two technologies delivers noticeable results without compromising patient comfort.

The 4D Body applicator on the Venus Legacy™ also features an adjustable pulsed suction mechanism called VariPulse™, which temporarily increases blood circulation, boosts lymphatic drainage, and more. The cellulite reduction treatment on Venus Legacy™ is safe for all skin types.

A study conducted by top international dermatologists demonstrated that the (MP) 2 technology found in Venus Legacy™ is effective in significantly reducing abdominal cellulite. Patients were very satisfied with the results and experienced no adverse effects. The results showed:

  • Reduction in subcutaneous abdominal thickness on the axial and sagittal plane;
  • Average abdominal circumferential reduction of 3.78 cm over the course of the study; and,
  • At 1, 4, and 12 weeks following the final treatment, assessments showed significant improvement in cellulite appearance.
