The NanoFractional RF™ applicator on Venus Viva™ is designed for skin resurfacing and includes a patented tip technology where groups of small pins deliver energy to the tissue using radio frequency. The algorithm allows for random firing of electrodes that enables uniform heat distribution. There are two modes of operation for the NanoFractional RF™ applicator: Basic Mode and MD Mode. With MD mode, the operator has control of the amount of ablation and coagulation by adjusting power and pulse duration, separately. The handpiece utilizes Multi-Polar Radio Frequency for uniform heating and minimal patient discomfort, allowing the skin tissue to reach a therapeutic temperature quicker and safer. Pulsed Electro Magetic Fields are also emitted from each electrode throughout the treatment, promoting healing and fibroblast proliferation for smoother, firmer looking skin.
